Rothfus Votes For NDAA Conference Report Passage
WASHINGTON – Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement after the House passed the Conference Report to Accompany H.R. 2810, the National Defense Authorization Act for 2018:
“Congress is finally stepping up to the plate and providing our brave troops the resources they need to keep our nation safe in an era of continuing and grave threats to our nation’s security,” said Congressman Keith Rothfus. This legislation also provides our service members with a long overdue pay raise, better medical and healthcare resources, and reforms to improve the Department of Defense.”
Beyond restoring the military’s readiness, the Conference Report addresses various Department of Defense reforms to contract acquisitions and auditing to ensure taxpayer funds are used effectively. The NDAA’s provisions also enhance tools in the military code of justice for prosecuting sexual assault, and other violations.
