Rothfus Supports Second Amendment and Disability Rights

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Keith Rothfus released the following statement after the House passed a resolution to block a rule published by the Social Security Administration that threatens the Second Amendment rights of beneficiaries who use a representative payee to manage their financial affairs:

“While we all want to ensure that guns stay out of the hands of those who pose a danger to society, this wide-ranging rule would hurt competent and law-abiding Americans,” said Congressman Rothfus. “This is not just about the Second Amendment, it’s about respecting all Americans, regardless of their disabilities.”
