Rothfus: Answers and Accountability Still Needed at Pittsburgh VA

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement after reviewing the findings of the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General’s report on Legionnaires’ disease at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

“This report highlights the systemic failure of the Pittsburgh VA to follow its own safety protocols and the breakdown in communication that resulted in the death of five veterans,” said Rothfus.  “We will continue to press for accountability and solutions to ensure this does not happen again.”
