Press Release: Rothfus Supports Congressional Term Limits Amendment
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement about co-sponsoring a constitutional amendment to limit the number of terms a Member of Congress may serve in the House and in the Senate.
“Washington is broken,” said Rothfus. “Citizen legislators with real world and private sector experience are needed now more than ever given the challenges we face. Term limits would ensure that our representatives and senators are citizen legislators who serve for a season and then return to life as private citizens.”
House Joint Resolution 26, introduced by Congressman Andy Barr [KY-06], would amend the Constitution to establish a limit of six consecutive full terms in the House and two consecutive full terms in the Senate.
