Internships
Congressman Rothfus is pleased to offer internships in his Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania offices to undergraduate and graduate students during the spring, summer and fall semesters. An internship provides students with the hands-on opportunity to learn more about the federal government, the legislative process, helping constituents, and the responsibilities of a U.S. Representative.
College students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship hours can be flexible to accommodate students' course schedules, but generally run 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Internships are unpaid, but the internship is available for school credit if approved by the student’s school.
Please submit your resume, cover letter and brief writing sample (no more than five pages) to the office where you would like to intern. Send completed applications to PA12.Interns@mail.house.gov. Direct your application to the attention of Ana Ellis.
